Revista Mediterránea de Comunicación (RMC) / Mediterranean Journal of Communication (MJC) publica artículos científicos y reseñas revisados por pares relacionados con la comunicación comercial, persuasiva, periodística o audiovisual. Centra su interés en las investigaciones realizadas en países de la cuenca del Mediterráneo o culturalmente hermanados. Son especialmente bienvenidos aquellos textos con planteamientos interdisciplinares, originales y aportaciones innovadoras que utilicen con rigor la metodología del ámbito. La revista se publica en acceso abierto ruta diamante (tanto el acceso como la publicación o la lectura son gratuitos), es multilingüe y refleja las tendencias actuales y futuras que afectan a la comunicación. Pretende dar un servicio a la comunidad científica internacional potenciando un espacio de intercambio donde compartir, promocionar y difundir la producción científica académica derivada de la investigación aplicada a la comunicación social. Tiempo promedio proceso de revisión: 88-120 días (entre envío y decisión editorial). El porcentaje de aceptación es del 30% aproximadamente. Una vez admitido, el texto maquetado sin paginar se publica en la sección NÚMEROS/ACEPTADOS a la espera del cierre del número. Se publican dos números al año (enero y julio). Cada número alberga dos Monográficos de variadas temáticas y una sección fija de Miscelánea. El número promedio de artículos científicos publicados en cada número es 18: 6 en cada Monográfico y 6 en Miscelánea. Mediterránea está adherida a COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).
