Revista Fuentes es una publicación científica de carácter internacional editada por Editorial Universidad de Sevilla, con más de 25 años de edición y 300 artículos publicados . Está indexada en Scopus (CiteScore y SJR), WoS (Emerging Sources Citation Index), Dialnet Métricas y otras bases de datos internacionales, catálogos y repertorios de todo el mundo. Sus contenidos son accesibles a texto completo, de forma gratuita, para toda la comunidad científica de investigadores. La Revista Fuentes utiliza el sistema de revisión externa por expertos siguiendo el sistema de doble ciego (double-blind peer-review), avalado por un Consejo Científico Internacional y de revisores de 252 investigadores de 16 países diferentes. Su objetivo fundamental es la difusión y el intercambio de estudios empíricos en educación desde el pluralismo metodológico; para ello acepta trabajos de investigación educativa que sean de interés para la comunidad científica y que contribuyan al desarrollo científico de la Educación, poniendo especial énfasis en trabajos que hayan promovido la transferencia de los resultados de la investigación. Esto implica la utilización de muestras amplias (tanto en estudios cuantitativos como cualitativos) que garanticen la representatividad, excluyendo la descripción de experiencias que no supongan un avance del conocimiento. Entre sus temáticas preferentes se sitúan: Diversidad, Calidad y Equidad en Educación; Educación Mediática, Abandono y Engagement en la Educación Superior, Educación y Género y Diseño y Evaluación del Aprendizaje, entre otras.
