El Guiniguada (eISSN: 2386-3374) es una publicación científica de investigaciones y experiencias en Ciencias de la Educación, de acceso abierto y con revisión por pares (doble ciego) adscrita al Portal digital de Revistas científicas de la Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria y a su SPDC y bajo la responsabilidad editorial de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación de la universidad homónima. Su objetivo principal es proporcionar una plataforma para que académicos/as e investigadores/as nacionales e internacionales compartan los pensamientos contemporáneos en el amplio campo temático de la educación y las didácticas aplicadas, con ámbitos preferentes como la formación del profesorado y la enseñanza y aprendizaje de lenguas y literaturas de todos los niveles educativos. La revista define entre sus propósitos (a) el fomentar el análisis y el intercambio de ideas a partir de la comunicación de resultados de investigación y de reflexiones fundamentadas desde los distintos niveles y escenarios educativos (desde la educación infantil hasta la etapa universitaria), (b) el contemplar tanto la investigación cuantitativa al uso como la cualitativa (etnografía educativa, estudios de caso, metodología holística, análisis del discurso, diseños aplicados…) y (c) el ofrecerse a la comunidad científica como un instrumento abierto y democrático de análisis, reflexión y construcción de conocimiento, en torno a la investigación educativa (teórica y aplicada), la innovación en el ámbito de las didácticas aplicadas (con especial interés por la didáctica de la lengua materna, extranjera y contextos ELE, EL2) y otras disciplinas clave de las ciencias humanas como la lingüística y la psicología educativa. Comunica resultados de investigación especialmente en torno a la formación permanente del profesorado, siendo esta una de sus áreas de interés preferente, en todos los niveles educativos, así como en contextos formales y no formales. En este campo aborda desde cuestiones metodológicas y de evaluación, intervenciones innovadoras, diseños didácticos fundamentados, hasta reflexiones sobre el discurso educativo y competencial, la creatividad, la psicología educativa y las humanidades digitales.
