Online) tem como escopo a publicação de trabalhos inéditos e originais na área de Educação, resultantes de pesquisas científicas e reflexões teóricas sobre práticas e políticas educacionais. Seu público-alvo é composto de estudantes, professores, pesquisadores da área da educação, além do público interessado na área em geral. Compreende-se por "trabalhos" os artigos decorrentes de pesquisas teóricas ou empíricas, de experiências pedagógicas e de elaboração de resenhas. São publicadas, também, entrevistas. A revista não aceita trabalhos encaminhados simultaneamente para outras revistas ou para livros. Os artigos podem ser publicados em Português, Inglês e Espanhol e, excepcionalmente, em Italiano, Francês e Alemão. Os trabalhos submetidos via Sistema Eletrônico de Editoração de Revistas (SEER/OJS) serão enviados ao Presidente da Comissão Editorial, que os submeterá ao Conselho Editorial, para verificação da adequação à política editorial da revista e das exigências normativas. Se estiver dentro das normas, o trabalho será encaminhado, sem identificação, a no mínimo, dois avaliadores externos. No caso de discrepância avaliativa, será enviado a um terceiro parecerista. O nome dos avaliadores será mantido em sigilo. Taxa de Processamento de Artigos (APCs) A Revista Educação (Santa Maria. Online) adota a política de não cobrar taxas em qualquer etapa do processo editorial, incluindo revisão, processamento, avaliação ou publicação de artigos (APC, do inglês Article Processing Charges), a autores e/ou instituições.
