Policy Against Oppressive Rhetoric Racist, misogynistic, homophobic, transphobic, ablest, ageist, xenophobic, and other oppressive language will not be published in Technical Communication Quarterly, unless the language is being quoted as evidence (e.g., quoting racist policies as evidence in a critical analysis of legal policy and its effects on disenfranchised populations). We also acknowledge the limitations of individuals to recognize all such oppressive language and therefore the need for coalitional engagement across the field.
