La Revista de Estudios Empresariales. Segunda Época, con ISSN 1988/9046, es una publicación semestral. Hasta 2021, la publicación de los números 1 y 2 se realizaba en junio y diciembre, respectivamente. Desde el año 2022, la publicación se realiza en enero y julio. Tiene como objetivo difundir trabajos de investigacion que cumplan las adecuadas exigencias de rigor y calidad científicas sobre temas relacionados con la empresa y la economía en general. Para ello los trabajos enviados son sometidos a doble evaluación anónima. Es publicada por la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Jurídicas de la Universidad de Jaén. Los contenidos de la Revista tienen un carácter interdisciplinar. En cada número se presentan varios artículos sobre un tema monográfico junto a otros trabajos de diferente temática en la sección de Tribuna. Por último, hay otra sección destinada a reseñas y notas críticas de libros. La revista no cobrará nada por el envío y por la publicación de los artículos, así como tampoco por el procesamiento editorial de los mismos para publicarlos en acceso abierto (APC).
