La Revista de Estudios e Investigación en Psicología y Educación se publica en formato electrónico, como continuación de la Revista Galego-Portuguesa de Psicoloxía e Educación (ISSN: 1138-1663), que se editaba en papel desde 1997. Tiene como objetivo principal proporcionar el análisis, debate e intercambio teórico-conceptual, metodológico y aplicado sobre temas relevantes en la actualidad y que se relacionan con las principales áreas temáticas de la Psicología y la Educación. No se trata, sin embargo, de una revista generalista. Los trabajos y estudios originales derivados del análisis y la reflexión de los autores que se consideran potencialmente publicables serán aquellos que, desde un ángulo psicológico o educativo, se centren o repercutan, de modo directo o indirecto, en el campo de la educación formal, no formal o informal. Por ello la Revista de Estudios e Investigación en Psicología y Educación estará siempre abierta a todos aquellos profesionales de la Psicología y la Educación que reflexionan sobre temas psicoeducativos vivos y relevantes en la actualidad, a todos aquellos que investigan y aplican sus conocimientos y aportaciones originales a la mejora e innovación psicopedagógica en toda su extensión. La Revista de Estudios e Investigación en Psicología y Educación exigirá todos los criterios internacionales que se siguen en la actualidad tanto en las normas de envío y recepción de originales, asi como para el proceso de evaluación y publicación de los trabajos recibidos.
