Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society: Letters has now closed, and new Letters will instead be published as a distinct article type within Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society. Bringing Letters into MNRAS corrects a historical irregularity in that, despite sharing a submission site and in many other respects being one journal, MNRASL had a separate ISSN and Letters were published on this separate website, with a different DOI path. All archive content will remain available on this site. If you wish to submit a Letter, please read the MNRAS Author Guidelines and visit MNRAS. Too few articlesOnly 1 articles from the last 24 months carry both submission and acceptance dates, too few for a median

Only articles that were accepted and published are counted, not the time spent on rejected manuscripts, so this usually runs longer than a publisher's "time to first decision".

Community reports come from authors' own submissions (confidence 0.5) and are not a promise from the journal; for publisher figures, the journal's own definitions apply.
