Journal of Medical Toxicology (JMT) is the peer-reviewed medical journal of the American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT). We are dedicated to advancing the science and clinical practice of the prevention, diagnosis, investigation, and management of poisoning and other toxic exposures. We welcome submissions of research relevant to all medical specialties providing care for poisoned patients including medical toxicologists, emergency physicians, critical care specialists, pediatricians and other primary care specialists, pre-hospital providers, occupational providers, addiction medicine specialists, veterinary toxicologists, and policy makers. JMT publishes research which will improve the understanding of prevention, toxicokinetics, toxic mechanisms, poisoning etiologies, diagnosis, investigation, and management across a broad range of toxic exposures. These exposures include pharmaceutical agents, psychoactive substances, industrial and occupational toxins and chemicals, natural toxins, agents of opportunity, and environmental contaminants. Article types accepted by JMT include research articles, illustrative case reports, systematic and other review articles, toxicokinetic studies, commentaries, and letters to the editor. JMT is committed to an expeditious, professional, and ethical peer review and editorial process. JMT is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Reviews are conducted via double-blind peer review by experts from across the globe. Should you have any question about the suitability of the Journal for your manuscript, email jmtinfo@acmt.net. We look forward to your submission.
