The International Journal of Machine Learning and Cybernetics (IJMLC) publishes original research on the theory, algorithms, and applications of machine learning and data-driven intelligent systems. The journal provides a forum for methodological advances that enable intelligent systems to learn, represent, reason, make decisions, and interact in complex environments. IJMLC welcomes high-quality contributions on machine learning methodologies and their applications in complex intelligent systems and other data-driven environments. The emphasis of IJMLC is on the hybrid development of machine learning and cybernetics schemes inspired by different contributing disciplines such as engineering, mathematics, cognitive sciences, and applications. New ideas, design alternatives, implementations and case studies pertaining to all the aspects of machine learning and cybernetics fall within the scope of the IJMLC. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Machine learning theory and algorithms Deep learning and representation learning Self-supervised, semi-supervised, and contrastive learning Graph learning and graph neural networks Foundation models, large language models, and multi-modal learning Generative AI and reinforcement learning Data-centric AI, trustworthy AI and explainable AI Knowledge-enhanced and neuro-symbolic learning Machine learning for intelligent systems, cyber-physical systems, robotics, communication networks, healthcare, bioinformatics, transportation, finance, and other data-driven applications Studies focusing primarily on traditional theories (e.g., fuzzy systems, rough sets, granular computing, classical optimization, and control theory) are considered only when they demonstrate substantial methodological contributions to modern machine learning.
