Aims The International Journal of Current Educational Studies (IJCES) publishes empirical and theoretical research across education and educational research, with particular attention to studies conducted in contexts that remain under-represented in the international literature. Educational research is dominated by evidence from a small number of high-income systems. IJCES exists in part to widen that evidence base. The journal welcomes work from all regions, and gives sustained attention to research from developing, resource-constrained, and under-served education systems — not as a special interest, but as a central part of what educational research should account for. The journal aims to: Publish methodologically sound research that addresses questions of consequence for teaching, learning, and educational policy Widen the geographic and contextual base of published educational research Examine how education systems are responding to technological, social, and demographic change Connect empirical findings to the decisions teachers, teacher educators, school leaders, and policymakers face Support comparative insight by publishing rigorous single-context studies whose relevance extends beyond their setting Scope Thematic priorities IJCES organizes its work around five thematic priorities. Manuscripts falling outside these are considered on where the contribution is substantial, but the priorities indicate where the journal's attention and editorial expertise are concentrated. 1. Technology, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence in education. Generative AI in teaching, learning, and assessment; AI and digital literacy among students and teachers; educational technology adoption and integration; online, blended, and hybrid learning; learning analytics; digital equity and infrastructure. 2. Teacher education and professional learning. Pre-service teacher preparation; in-service professional development; teacher knowledge, beliefs, and agency; teaching practice and supervision; teacher competence and professional conduct. 3. Curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation; instructional models and interventions; discipline-based education research in science, mathematics, language, and social studies; assessment design, validity, and academic integrity. 4. Equity, inclusion, and educational access. Inclusive and special education; educational inequality by gender, socioeconomic status, language, and loc
