Infancias Imágenes es una revista periódica de carácter científico que divulga los saberes, las experiencias y demás conocimientos que se vienen produciendo en los grupos de investigación, los programas de pregrado, postgrado y demás instancias académicas interesadas en el campo de la infancia, enmarcada en la educación y el lenguaje. La periodicidad de la revista es anual y se organiza en tres secciones: “Imágenes de investigación”, “Textos y contextos” y “Perfiles y perspectivas” que buscan agrupar una producción textual variada. El primer número de la revista es del año 2002. La revista se publicaba anualmente y, desde 2010, tiene una periodicidad semestral. A partir de este año, con el volumen 25, retomará su periodicidad anual. Infancias Imágenes es una publicación de la Cátedra UNESCO en Desarrollo del Niño, la Maestría en Infancia y Cultura y la Especialización en Infancia, Cultura y Desarrollo. El actual editor es el profesor Daniel Arturo Hernández Rodríguez. Área: Ciencias Sociales Sub-área: Ciencias de la Educación Disciplinas: Educación General, Interdisciplinar, Otras Ciencias Sociales. (Según clasificación de Áreas de conocimiento - OCDE) La revista Infancias Imágenes no cuenta con cargos o tasas por el procesamiento de los artículos (APC) para los autores, ni paga por la evaluación de los manuscritos a los pares evaluadores, ellos contribuyen voluntariamente al avance y la divulgación de la ciencia y el conocimiento.
