Educación es la revista académica del Departamento Académico de Educación de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú que tiene como objetivo difundir la producción científica en el campo de la educación a través de artículos y ensayos originales e inéditos, y reseñas. Educación acepta manuscritos sobre temáticas que aporten al campo de la educación y a las ciencias de la educación: políticas educativas, currículo y didácticas generales y específicas, procesos de enseñanza - aprendizaje, evaluación de los aprendizajes, desarrollo y profesión docente, tecnologías de la información y la comunicación, innovación educativa, evaluación institucional, gestión educativa, investigación educativa, temas transversales (educación bilingüe intercultural, educación y género, educación inclusiva, educación para la justicia social, educación ambiental, educación rural), entre otros. Acoge manuscritos que aporten a distintos sujetos y contextos: educación de las infancias, educación de los y las adolescentes, educación superior, educación de adultos, educación comunitaria. Asimismo, se aceptan manuscritos que sean abordados desde distintas posturas epistemológicas, teóricas y metodológicas. Artículos Los artículos muestran los resultados de la investigación empírica y de los estudios de intervención evaluativa, de innovación pedagógica o de diagnóstico que -a través de una metodología rigurosa- aporten al conocimiento en educación. Además, se aceptan revisiones sistemáticas de la literatura sobre temas educativos. No se aceptan estudios que sean de particular interés para un determinado contexto institucional o local, si es que no tienen un alcance significativo para construir conocimiento relevante en el campo de la educación. Extensión: 5000 a 7000 palabras. Ensayos Los ensayos explican y argumentan sobre temas específicos de la educación de manera reflexiva y analítica. Se valora particularmente aquellos que aportan con argumentos críticos y muestran una postura frente a temas en debate de actualidad en el campo de la educación. Extensión: 5000 a 7000 palabras Reseñas Las reseñas comentan y analizan una publicación, de preferencia, libros editados en los últimos tres años. No se refieren a un resumen o descripción del contenido de un libro; sino de un comentario crítico. Extensión: de 2000 a 3000 palabras
