BMC Pharmacology and Toxicology is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that considers articles on all aspects of chemically defined therapeutic and toxic agents. The journal welcomes submissions from all fields of experimental and clinical pharmacology including clinical trials and toxicology. BMC Pharmacology and Toxicology welcomes submissions covering the following broad areas of research. Basic pharmacology We consider studies that focus on receptor pharmacology, signal transduction, pharmacokinetics and pharmacogenomics relating to all organ systems. Clinical pharmacology We consider research submissions that focus on all areas of clinical pharmacology including rational prescribing, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacovigillance, pharmacoepidemiology and clinical trials. Computational, in silico and modeling studies We consider studies that focus on computational simulation including the analysis of structure-activity relationships, molecular modeling and data mining. Drug design, discovery and delivery We consider research that focus on research relating to novel chemical entity design, screening and delivery. Toxicology We consider manuscripts that focus on pharmaceutical, molecular and regulatory toxicology. As a BMC Series journal, BMC Pharmacology and Toxicology does not make editorial decisions based on the perceived interest or potential impact of a study. Manuscripts are considered for publication if they are scientifically valid.
