The journal Immunopharmacology and Immunotoxicology is devoted to the publication of manuscripts related to drug discovery, pre-clinical and clinical drug development of agents targeting the immune system, as well as immunotoxicology observations of defined drug compounds in general. In immunopharmacology science, the journal is particularly interested in areas such as anti-inflammatory treatments, cancer-immunotherapy and vaccines. Within immunotoxicology the journal will consider any pharmacological compound that affects the immune system. The journal will consider research related to the immunoregulatory effects of defined pharmacological agents independent of the entity, also including small-molecules, vaccines, biologics and cell-based therapies. The journal will focus on disease areas such as immune-mediated diseases and cancer immunology but will also cover other disease areas with an immunological component, e.g. immunopathology as part of infections, transplantations, allergy, chronic kidney disease, neuro-degenerative disorders, immunodeficiencies, neurology, inflammatory atherosclerosis and more. Manuscripts including the following content will be considered: Mechanism of action studies, including gene-activation studies In-vitro studies and pre-clinical animal studies Non-interventional and interventional clinical studies. Immunopharmacology and Immunotoxicology will accept original manuscripts, brief communications, commentaries, mini-reviews, reviews, clinical trials and clinical cases, on the condition that the results reported are based on original, clinical, or basic research that has not been published elsewhere in any journal in any language (except in abstract form relating to paper communicated to scientific meetings and symposiums).
