The Asia-Pacific Journal of Teacher Education publishes original research that makes a significant contribution to advancing knowledge and understanding of the complexities of teacher education across early childhood, primary, secondary, vocational, and higher education, and other formal and informal settings in which teachers work. The journal editors invite for peer review theoretically-informed papers – including, but not limited to, empirical, historical and policy research – which focus on themes and issues relevant to an international audience. These issues of relevance to the Asia-Pacific Journal of Teacher Education are: teacher education, including initial teacher education and ongoing professional education; the cultural, economic, political, social, practice-based, and/or technological dimensions and contexts of teacher education; change, stability, reform and resistance in (and relating to) teacher education; enhancing the significance of research in teacher education. To our prospective authors, we promise an efficient submission process. We will work hard to reduce the average time required from your submission to first decision and first post-review decision. We welcome all theoretical and methodological approaches in submissions. Submitted papers that locate their work in the existing literature, justify their foci, include a rigorous and credible methodology, report their findings honestly and with humility and make explicit their own contribution to the literature in teacher education will proceed to review. Our definition of teacher education includes the ongoing education of teachers that is more commonly known as teacher professional development or teacher professional learning. Peer Review Policy All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous double-anonymized peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymised refereeing by two expert referees. All invited discussion papers undergo peer review by the Editors.
