Anesthésie & Réanimation is the official journal for continuing medical education and professional development of the French Society of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine (Société Française d'Anesthésie et de Réanimation, SFAR). Anesthésie & Réanimation publishes in French didactic and practical articles in the medical field of Anaesthesia & Intensive Care: reviews and/or updates, training "support articles", commented clinical cases, recommendations and guidelines, reports of congresses and/or meetings, texts related to the profession and to the life of the French Society SFAR (and more widely of its partner societies). In addition, each issue features a topical section on an element or a specialization of Anesthesia and Intensive Care, in order to offer a pedagogical coherence closer to the needs of the journal's readers. These special reports are developed at the request of the editorial team from a French perspective, with young academics emerging or with healthcare professionals already recognized as experts in the selected thematic. The journal is aimed at all critical care specialists and professionals: physicians, nurses and nurse anaesthetists, residents, and more broadly all caregivers from other associations or frontier disciplines of Anaesthesia and of Intensive Care Medicine.
