Zbornik radova Pravnog fakulteta u Nišu je naučni časopis koji ovaj fakultet u kontinuitetu objavljuje od 1962. godine. Od svog osnivanja do danas, časopis je izgradio prepoznatljiv naučni i društveni identitet i kategorisan je kao "vrhunski časopis nacionalnog značaja" (M51). Kao jedna od najznačajnijih pravnih periodičnih publikacija u Republici Srbiji, Zbornik radova Pravnog fakulteta u Nišu ima važnu ulogu u razvoju pravne nauke i kulture, afirmaciji akademske zajednice i podsticanju kritičnog promišljanja o pravnim institutima i njihovom poboljšanju. Časopis predstavlja vezu između univerzitetskog okruženja, pravne prakse i šire javnosti, doprinoseći izgradnji pravne države, jačanju demokratskih vrednosti i promociji kulture ljudskih prava. Časopis pripada naučnom polju društveno-humanističkih nauka, a tematski je posvećen prevashodno pravu, tj. sledećim užim pravnim oblastima: pravno-teorijskoj, javnopravnoj, krivičnopravnoj, građanskopravnoj, trgovinskopravnoj, pravno-ekonomskoj, pravno-istorijskoj i međunarodnopravnoj. U časopisu se prostor daje i srodnim disciplinama kao što su politikologija, ekonomija, istorija, filozofija prava i sociologija prava. Zbornik radova Pravnog fakulteta u Nišu neguje publikovanje originalnih i preglednih naučnih članaka visokog kvaliteta, teorijskog i empirijskog karaktera, koji doprinose napretku pravne nauke, kao i polemika, prikaza knjiga i naučnih konferencija. Časopis podržava interdisciplinarni i komparativni pristup, kritičke ostvrte na aktuelna i značajna pravna i društvena pitanja, kao i članke koji su rezultat nacionalnih i međunarodnih istraživanja. Takođe, časopis prihvata metodološku raznolikost - od dogmatsko-pravne i normativne analize, preko istorijskih i komparativnih studija, do empirijskih istraživanja. Jezici na kojima se mogu objavljivati naučni članci su srpski, engleski, ruski, francuski i nemački, čime se podstiče internacionalizacija časopisa i otvorenost prema globalnoj akademskoj zajednici. Časopis izlazi tri puta godišnje, a povremeno se izdaju i tematski brojevi posvećeni bitnim pravnim i društvenim pitanjima. Posebna rubrika namenjena je radovima studenata doktorskih akademskih studija. Na taj način časopis pruža podršku mladim istraživačima. Članci u časopisu podležu dvostrukoj anonimnoj recenziji.
