Temeljna svrha izdavanja “Zbornika radova“ Građevinskog fakulteta u Sveučilišta u Rijeci jest da omogući objavljivanje koautorskih radova studenta završnih godina naših Sveučilišnih i Stručnih studija i njihovih mentora, te predmetnih nastavnika i suradnika, objavljivanje samostalnih i koautorskih radova nastavnika i studenata Poslijediplomskog doktorskog studija, vanjskih suradnika Fakulteta, drugih znanstvenika sa Sveučilišta u Rijeci i Republici Hrvatskoj, stručnjaka iz gospodarstva i bliže društvene zajednice. Posredna svrha izdavanja je poticanje mladih kolega na stjecanje vještina pisanja i uređivanja radova te motiviranje za bavljenje istraživačkim radom. Radovi moraju sadržavati zamjetan udio rezultata koji ranije nisu bili objavljeni, te upućivati na postojeće znanje i teme spojive s područjima djelatnosti, misije i vizije Fakulteta.
