Vojno delo is a bilingual (Serbian/English) scientific journal in the field of social sciences and serves as an open forum for publishing and stimulating innovative thinking and critical exchange of experiences on all aspects and levels of security and defence, nationally and internationally. The journal Vojno delo was established in 1948, and in February 1949 the first issue was published as the publication of the Ministry of National Defence of the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia. Since 2020, the journal publisher has been the Strategic Research Institute of the Defence University. Vojno delo is a journal that promotes the results of scientific research in the field of military sciences, and also the results of scientific research in security, law, economics and political sciences. The papers that are not from the field of these sciences should contain the connotation of defence and/or security. The priority thematic units of Vojno delo are geopolitical processes, strategic environment and strategic actors, global, regional and national security, defence system and military activities. The journal publishes previously unpublished papers: original scientific papers, reviews and book reviews. Papers are published in Serbian/English, with abstracts in Serbian/English. The journal is published four times a year, is available in an open access mode and does not charge any costs for publishing. Owing to the acquired reputation, the reading audience includes numerous representatives of the academic community, scientific institutes, faculties and universities. The journal is indexed in national and international scientific databases.
