Recent special issues have brought together work on such timely topics as the imagery of financial crisis and the visual culture of the pandemic. Other areas of ongoing focus include the changing visual infrastructures of art pedagogy, collecting and the market, art publishing, the legal and regulatory landscape of image reproduction, including copyright, and critical analyses of the ever-proliferating forms of digital imaging that define contemporary visual culture.
