Durante el segundo semestre del año 2007 un grupo de académicos y estudiantes de la Facultad Tecnológica de la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, percibieron la necesidad de construir una publicación seriada que propendiera por la divulgación de resultados de investigación en la gran área de Ingeniería y tecnología; en temáticas del área de Eléctrica, Electrónica e informática; así como en las disciplinas de la Ingeniería eléctrica y electrónica, la Robótica y control automático, la Automatización y sistemas de control, la Ingeniería de sistemas y comunicaciones, las Telecomunicaciones, y la de Hardware y arquitectura de computadores; así como sus ciencias básicas y afines. Por lo anterior, esta idea que coincide temáticamente con la Clasificación de Áreas Científicas según la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE), se consolidó con el propósito de asumir el papel de: búsqueda, tratamiento, innovación y producción de conocimiento socialmente útil para fortalecer una comunidad académica que influyera e impactara con rigor otros sectores como el social, el productivo y el empresarial. En consecuencia, es así como surge la revista “Visión Electrónica: algo más que un estado sólido”, de carácter científico-tecnológico, como un espacio de producción escrita en la idea de ser ampliamente consultada y citada, dirigida a la comunidad académica distrital: Bogotá, nacional: Colombia, e internacional: Latinoamérica. La edición la realiza la Facultad Tecnológica de la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, con una periodicidad semestral: siendo el primer número de enero a junio, visibilizado en el mes de junio de cada año; y el segundo número de julio a diciembre, visibilizado en el mes de diciembre de cada año. A continuación, se presentan los lineamientos para la publicación de documentos que los autores remiten, teniendo en cuenta que deben ser productos originales e inéditos, no estar postulados para publicación simultánea en otras revistas u órganos editoriales, representan las contribuciones efectivas de sus autores por lo que no se han copiado o plagiado en su totalidad o en parte de otras obras; y que en todo caso guardan los más altos estándares éticos y de buenas prácticas escritas.
