Цель журнала – публикация новых и оригинальных исследований в разных областях почвоведения и на стыке почвоведения и смежных наук, а также обзорных статей в прорывных областях наук о почве. Задачи: — максимально широкое по тематике и географическому охвату представление актуальных исследований, связанных с пониманием экологических функций почв, а также биологических, химических, физических процессов и взаимодействий в почвах; - отражение прогресса в отдельных разделах фундаментальных и прикладных наук о почве через публикацию специальных выпусков журнала; - стимулирование междисциплинарных, межрегиональных и международных исследований в области почвоведения; - осмысление региональных почвенных исследований в глобальном контексте. Целевой аудиторией нашего издания являются, прежде всего, почвоведы-исследователи, педагоги и практики. Целевая аудитория журнала также включает молодых ученых, аспирантов, студентов, представителей экспертных сообществ, а также специалистов в смежных областях знаний: биологии, науках о Земле, экономике народного хозяйства.
