"Verbum Vitae" is a theological and biblical journal. The first and third issues of the quarterly are thematic in nature. These issues are devoted to specific theological themes, which should be explored in their broader contexts and implications, particularly from biblical, patristic, dogmatic, moral, pastoral, and liturgical perspectives. The second and fourth issues (Varia) contain biblical and theological articles on a variety of topics. The final section of each issue is dedicated to reviews of recently published monographs and edited volumes in the field of biblical studies and theology. The journal seeks to engage primarly theologians representing a wide range of disciplines and specializations and biblical scholars. Its aim is to present reliable scholarship and expert interpretation concerning important theological questions, particularly those that are the subject of contemporary academic, ecclesial, cultural, and social debate and, consequently, to provide the theologically advanced and attentive reader with solid knowledge. In principle, the articles published in the journal are also intended to contribute to deepening the dialogue between various theological specializations - to build and strengthen the unity of theology, as well as the dialogue between theology and contemporary sciences - in the context of interpreting and examining the "signs of the times" (signa temporis perscrutandi). Through a rigorous peer-review process, the Editors seek to ensure that the articles published in "Verbum Vitae" reflect current international discussions on the topics presented. Such engagement with the relevant international debate is a necessary condition for the acceptance of a submitted article. Since the journal’s readership consists primarily of academics, lecturers, researchers, and students, the Editorial Board has taken steps to make its content as widely accessible as possible. These measures include an immediate open-access policy and the inclusion of published articles in reputable and searchable academic databases and repositories.
