Миссия журнала состоит во всестороннем и объективном освещении, оперативном и независимом информировании читателей об исследованиях в сфере цифровой социологии. Цели журнала: обмен научными сведениями о новых решениях и применениях информационных технологий в социологии; широкое обсуждение новых идей в области цифровой социологии – отрасли социологической науки, исследующей роль Интернета и влияние электронных технологий на социальную жизнь в целом; организация международного сотрудничества через обмен научными идеями и привлечение специалистов в области цифровой социологии из разных стран к работе в составе редакционной коллегии и к опубликованию ими своих статей в полнотекстовом доступе. Задачи журнала: обобщение научных и практических достижений в области цифровой социологии; привлечение внимания ученых к наиболее актуальным, перспективным и интересным направлениям научных исследований по тематике журнала; обмен мнениями между исследователями из разных регионов и государств.
