Qualis/CAPES: A1 Histórico A Trans/Form/Ação teve seu primeiro número publicado em 1974 pelo Departamento de Filosofia da extinta Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras de Assis, que em 1976 passou a integrar a Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Logo a seguir, o Departamento se transferiu para o Campus de Marília, ao qual a revista está vinculada, em conjunto com o Programa de Pós-Graduação em Filosofia da Unesp. Em 2011 a revista passou oficialmente a ser um periódico de publicação quadrimestral (contando com três edições regulares e um número especial). A partir de 2016 a periodicidade passou a ser trimestral. Em 2024 passou a adotar o modo de publicação em Fluxo Contínuo. Missão A Trans/Form/Ação tem por missão publicar, por meio eletrônico e impresso, textos de excelência em filosofia ou de relevância filosófica, socializando o conhecimento, buscando promover o debate e a interlocução de ideias. O conteúdo dos textos é exposto em forma de artigos, resenhas, traduções e entrevistas. Todas as formas de publicação obedecem à variedade temática, metodológica e de época, mantendo-se, com isso, o respeito às diversas tendências do conhecimento filosófico, assim como às diversas orientações de pensamento. Foco e Escopo Publicar resultados de pesquisas consolidadas em filosofia e áreas correlatas, buscando contribuir com a socialização, discussão e desenvolvimento do conhecimento na área. Os fascículos da revista reúnem textos recebidos em fluxo contínuo versando sobre qualquer tema ou área da filosofia, bem como sobre demais assuntos com manifesta relevância filosófica. Os originais podem ser enviados por autores doutores (a revista permite exceções muito ocasionais) em português, inglês, francês, italiano e espanhol. A revista se dirige prioritariamente à pesquisa universitária em Filosofia, embora reconheça que o leitor leigo, porém culto e interessado em Filosofia, também pode constituir seu público-alvo. Política de cobrança de Taxas A revista não cobra taxa de submissão ou de publicação de artigos (article processing charge, APC). Política de Preservação Digital A Revista é hospedada no Portal de Periódicos da UNESP, o que garante a preservação de seu conteúdo digital de duas formas. Cópias de segurança (backups) são realizadas diariamente. O conteúdo também é preservado pela Rede Brasileira de Serviços de Preservação Digital (Rede Cariniana).
