Tekstil je znanstveno-stručni časopis za tekstilnu i odjevnu tehnologiju, koji izdaje Hrvatski inženjerski savez tekstilaca, neprekidno izlazi od 1952. godine. U početku je djelovao s uredničkim odborima iz Hrvatske, Srbije i Slovenije, a od 1960. godine uredništvo je smješteno u Zagrebu. Prvih desetljeća časopis je objavljivao 12 brojeva godišnje, dok je od sredine 2000-ih prešao na izdavanje dvobroja. Svojim radovima, koji obuhvaćaju postignuća u tekstilnoj industriji, globalne razvojne trendove i aktualna zbivanja u tekstilnoj tehnologiji, dizajnu i izradi odjeće, časopis značajno doprinosi razvoju tekstilne djelatnosti u Hrvatskoj te pridonosi edukaciji i afirmaciji tekstilnih stručnjaka. Uvršten je u relevantne svjetske izvore literature, sekundarne referentne publikacije i elektroničke baze podataka. Iako se većinom objavljuje na hrvatskom jeziku, raniji brojevi sadržavali su proširene sažetke na engleskom, njemačkom i francuskom jeziku, dok se u novijim izdanjima pojedini radovi, prema želji autora, objavljuju u cijelosti i na engleskom jeziku.
