Tecnociencia, la Revista científica multidisciplinaria de la Facultad de Ciencias Naturales, Exactas y Tecnología de la Universidad de Panamá que publica contribuciones originales sobre avances y resultados de investigación, se publica semestralmente. Tecnociencia ofrece una versión impresa de distribución limitada gratuita y una versión electrónica on-line con contenidos completos de entrada libre en: https://revistas.up.ac.pa/index.php/tecnociencia La Revista tiene como objetivo el estudio y la reflexión sobre teorías o conocimientos científicos, promover la investigación y evaluación de proyectos, y publicar los trabajos científicos y técnicos o de revisión bibliográfica que realizan los miembros de la Facultad de Ciencias Naturales, Exactas y Tecnología. También se aceptan trabajos de estudiantes y de colaboradores externos. Los trabajos científicos y técnicos se entienden como informes que describen los resultados originales derivados de investigaciones básicas o aplicadas, proyectos de investigación científica o desarrollo. Estos trabajos deben ser inéditos y aportar información nueva sobre un área específica del conocimiento científico, en Ciencias Biológicas, Ciencias Físicas, Ciencias Químicas, Ciencias Exactas e Ingenierías, Didáctica de las Ciencias, Ciencias Agropecuarias, Ciencias Ambientales, Ciencias de la Salud, Filosofía y Epistemología de la Ciencia. Deben ser escritos de forma clara y concisa. Los artículos de revisión son análisis basados en artículos primarios publicados, que dan cuenta de los avances y las tendencias de desarrollo sobre un campo de ciencia o la tecnología. Son escritos por expertos en la materia. Se caracterizan por presentar una cuidadosa revisión bibliográfica. La finalidad consiste en presentar el “investigación documentada” de un tema o área de investigación específica, donde se examina ampliamente la bibliografía sobre un tema particular y se le coloca en perspectiva, discutiendo tendencias y avances. Estas contribuciones serán publicadas por invitación del Editor o del Consejo Editorial a personas expertas en el tema, o cuando sean el resultado de proyectos de investigación en ejecución.
