sub\urban ist eine wissenschaftliche Zeitschrift, die einen Ort für eine deutschsprachige und interdisziplinäre Debatte in der kritischen Stadtforschung schafft. sub\urban verfolgt zwei Ziele: den Austausch zwischen verschiedenen disziplinären Zugängen zur Stadtforschung zu fördern und Reflexionen darüber anzuregen, was in diesem Kontext der Bereich einer kritischen Stadtforschung sein kann. Dabei ist uns die Diskussion mit städtischen Bewegungen in der Zeitschrift ebenso wichtig wie die Reflexion der Rahmenbedingungen der Wissensproduktion in der Stadt und in Lehre und Forschung. Die Zeitschrift ist zwar deutschsprachig, aber dezidiert offen für die internationalen Debatten sowie für die Übersetzung fremdsprachiger Texte.
