Na łamach czasopisma publikowane są opracowania w zakresie dyscyplin: nauki prawne i prawo kanoniczne. Umożliwiają one wymianę wiedzy i doświadczeń prawniczych, odnoszących się zarówno do nowych zjawisk społeczno-gospodarczych, jak i szczegółową analizę historycznoprawną i prawnoporównawczą tych zjawisk, z uwzględnieniem prawnego dorobku cywilizacyjnego systemów civil law i systemu common law oraz prawa kanonicznego.
