До збірника увійшли наукові розвідки, присвячені малодослідженим проблемам громадсько-політичного, соціально-економічного, культурного і релігійного життя українського народу. Головна мета видання: сприяння розвитку української історичної науки та впровадження її досягнень у навчальний процес з підготовки висококваліфікованих істориків. Основні завдання: – відображення результатів науково-дослідної, науково-практичної та експериментальної діяльності вітчизняних і зарубіжних вчених в галузі історії; – ознайомлення історичного співтовариства з результатами досліджень професорсько-викладацького складу кафедри історії ФСП КПІ ім. Ігоря Сікорського; – апробація досліджень аспірантів і здобувачів; – формування наукової складової університетського середовища та пропаганда основних досягнень університетської науки; – надання «майданчика» для наукових дискусій, обміну думками з актуальних питань історичної науки; – консолідація вузівського історичного співтовариства; – обмін досвідом викладання історичних наук; – впровадження в історичну науку міждисциплінарних і прикладних досліджень; – поширення інноваційних та передових методів і методик викладання історії.
