Српски историјски часопис (СИЧ) је научна публикација коју издаје Удружење историчара Републике Српске „Милорад Екмечић“. Наша мисија је развој и популаризација историјске науке, унапријеђење критичког мишљења и посебно историографских истраживања, превасходно оних од ширег националног интереса a то подразумијева и објављивање радова који су плод научно-истраживачког рада. Тематски оквир обухвата политичку, економску, социјалну историју као и историју свакодневног живота и историју историографије. Осим научних радова, Српски историјски часопис објављује историјске изворе, приказе, критике и полемике. Часопис посвећује посебну пажњу изучавању историјских процеса, појава и личности од круцијалног значаја за историју Срба у Босни и Херцеговини/Републици Српској, од најранијег до савременог доба, с циљем разумијевања ових појава у контексту ширих европских и свјетских историјских процеса као и утицаја међународних односа и процеса на друштвено-историјске процесе српске историје. Посебно смо поносни на чињеницу да су странице часописа широм отворене младим ауторима из земље и региона. Часопис објављује оригиналне, раније необјављене радове из области опште и националне историје, као и друге врсте прилога према потреби.
