Миссия журнала – познакомить международное академическое сообщество с современными исследованиями российского и постсоветского общества и вовлечь читателей в современный дискурс исследования власти с позиций социальной теории и социальной философии. Позиция редакции – рассматривать власть во всех её формах и проявлениях, таких как социальное и культурное неравенство, дискриминация и конфликты с позиции критической теории и других современных методологических подходов гуманитарных и общественных наук. Мы публикуем как теоретические статьи по широкому спектру актуальных подходов в социальных науках, так и эмпирические исследования, в первую очередь выполненные на российском материале. В журнале регулярно печатаются исследования авторов из ближнего и дальнего зарубежья на английском и русском языках. Приветствуются материалы, написанные на результатах как количественных, так и качественных исследований. Редакция приветствует размещение на сайте журнала исходных полевых материалов исследований. Журнал публикует оригинальные статьи, обзоры, переводы и рецензии по социологии и смежным дисциплинам.
