Склифосовского «Неотложная медицинская помощь» являются освещение современного состояния неотложной медицины в РФ и за рубежом, а также повышение уровня последипломного образования медицинских кадров. Кроме результатов клинических и экспериментальных исследований журнал публикует литературные обзоры, лекции, алгоритмы, практический опыт, клинические наблюдения, интервью с экспертами, исторические материалы, а также информацию о наиболее важных событиях в области диагностики и лечения неотложных состояний.
