Laboratory Animal and Comparative Medicine (ISSN 1674-5817; CN 31-1954/Q) is the first professional academic journal in the field of laboratory animal science and technology in China. The journal is founded in 1981, firstly named as Shanghai Livestock and Veterinary Newsletters - Experimental Animal Science. In 1984, it was renamed as Shanghai Experimental Animal Science, and in 2005 it was renamed to the current title.
