Sus contenidos contemplan toda esa época, desde finales del siglo XVIII hasta el siglo XXI, son interdisciplinarios y se refieren a todo el planeta, con especial atención a Europa y América Latina. La revista se dirige a todas aquellas personas interesadas en el conocimiento de esta materia y acepta artículos originales sobre cualquier aspecto de ese período. Cada número consta de un dosier monográfico y de una parte miscelánea que recogerá trabajos de temática variada.
