Rocznik Andragogiczny jest czasopismem naukowym, które wspiera naukowy dyskurs i dokumentuje zmiany w obrębie teorii i praktyki edukacji dorosłych, respektując różnorodność stanowisk, orientacji badawczych, stawiając pytania wynikające z teoretycznych oraz empirycznych analiz tej dziedziny nauki i praktyki społecznej. Czasopismo jest indeksowane na listach referencyjnych: Central European Journal of Social Sciencies and Humanites (CEJSH), Index Copernicus International (ICI), The European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) Rocznik Andragogiczny otrzymał dotację na okres od 01.12.2022 r. do 30.11.2024 r. z programu „Rozwój czasopism naukowych” na podstawie umowy zawartej ze Skarbem Państwa – Ministrem Edukacji i Nauki – nr RCN/SN/0177/2021/1 z dn. 19.12.2022 r. na kwotę 64 340 zł, która stanowiła całkowitą wartość zadania – podniesienia jakości i konkurencyjności czasopisma. Głównym zadaniem projektu jest podniesienie poziomu naukowego „Rocznika Andragogicznego” oraz wzrost jego cytowalności w obiegu krajowym i międzynarodowym. W tym celu wprowadzono zaawansowane kryteria oceny, położono nacisk na publikację tekstów anglojęzycznych oraz na widoczność czasopisma w sieci. Celem projektu było także dalsze doskonalenie praktyki wydawniczej i edytorskiej poprzez porównanie z wiodącymi czasopismami z dziedziny nauk społecznych i humanistycznych, konsultacje z redaktorami wybranych czasopism o uznanym międzynarodowym statusie oraz nadążanie za aktualnymi trendami w zarządzaniu pismem naukowym.
