Les articles devront être rédigés de manière à permettre une utilisation pédagogique et/ou à aider des étudiants ou des non spécialistes à rassembler une documentation de base. De courtes notes, correspondant à des résultats préliminaires ou à des recherches en cours et des fiches techniques, peuvent également être publiées. GEOTROPE s’adresse aux Chercheurs, Enseignants-Chercheurs et Doctorants. C’est une revue scientifique et de lecture qui publie des articles de recherche originaux et de haute qualité.
