MISSÃO A Revista Vórtex (ISSN 2317–9937 – Qualis A1) é um periódico online, de acesso aberto, dedicado à música e editado sob responsabilidade do Programa de Pós-graduação em Música (PPGMUS) da Universidade Estadual do Paraná (Unespar), Brasil. Fazemos parte de uma instituição educacional pública e sem fins lucrativos; portanto, nosso conteúdo é 100% gratuito (Open Access). Nosso propósito é divulgar e compartilhar gratuitamente pesquisas originais com a comunidade acadêmica brasileira e internacional, abrangendo as seguintes subáreas e campos temáticos da música: - Criação Sonora e Composição Musical;- Computação Musical e Tecnologia da Música;- Estudos do som e Sonologia;- Estética e Filosofia da Música;- Performance Musical;- Análise, Percepção e Teoria Musical;- Musicologia e Etnomusicologia;- Música Popular. Periodicidade e Cronograma de Publicação A Revista Vórtex opera em sistema de publicação contínua (1 volume por ano), isto é: uma vez finalizado o processo de avaliação e editoração, o trabalho é publicado. O tempo aproximado entre submissão e publicação é de 6 meses, podendo variar para mais/menos. Todo o processo respeita o seguinte fluxo: - Os editores fazem uma primeira leitura do manuscrito e decidem se a trabalho é de interesse do periódico (2/3 semanas); - Os editores analisam o perfil e convidam dois revisores para a tarefa (2 semanas); - Os revisores avaliam o trabalho (12 semanas); - Com base nas avaliações, os editores decidem sobre a publicação ou recusa (2 semanas); - Se aceito com correções e revisões necessárias, o manuscrito retorna aos autores (3 semanas). - Uma vez aceito, o manuscrito vai para Editoração, etapa em que será preparado para publicação, com atribuição de DOI e finalização de layout (3 semanas).
