La Revista Nicolaita de Estudios Económicos es una publicación académica arbitrada, especializada en ciencias económicas y sociales, editada por el Instituto de Investigaciones Económicas y Empresariales de la Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. Publica artículos científicos originales, ensayos académicos y otros trabajos derivados de investigación que contribuyen a la generación, discusión y difusión del conocimiento económico y social. La revista está dirigida a la comunidad académica nacional e internacional interesada en el análisis de problemas económicos y sociales desde enfoques teóricos, metodológicos, empíricos y aplicados. Sus áreas de interés incluyen macroeconomía, microeconomía, economía internacional, economía del cambio tecnológico, economía regional, historia económica, economía ambiental, economía pública, desarrollo económico, comercio internacional, estudios territoriales y temas afines de las ciencias sociales. La Revista Nicolaita de Estudios Económicos contribuye al intercambio académico entre América Latina y Europa mediante la publicación y difusión de investigaciones sobre economía internacional, desarrollo económico, comercio, sostenibilidad, cambio tecnológico, políticas públicas y estudios territoriales. Estos campos permiten establecer análisis comparativos y vínculos de investigación entre las economías latinoamericanas, europeas y otras regiones. La revista está dirigida también a investigadoras, investigadores e instituciones pertenecientes al Espacio Europeo de Investigación. Su proyección europea se fortalece mediante la participación de integrantes del Consejo Editorial afiliados a instituciones académicas de España y Reino Unido, la publicación de contribuciones de autores adscritos a universidades europeas y la aceptación de manuscritos en español e inglés. Al publicar en español e inglés y proporcionar títulos, resúmenes y palabras clave en ambos idiomas, la revista favorece la circulación internacional del conocimiento, la diversidad lingüística de la comunicación científica y el diálogo entre las comunidades académicas de Europa y América Latina. La revista acepta contribuciones en español e inglés. Todos los artículos publicados incluyen, al menos, título, resumen y palabras clave en español e inglés.
