La Revista Latinoamericana de Filosofía Política (RLFP) es un proyecto asumido por un grupo de investigadores que han tomado conciencia de la necesidad de una revista académica on-line, especializada en temas de filosofía política, que publique contribuciones originales en español y en inglés. La meta principal de esta nueva publicación será la de crear un foro de debate académico accesible no solamente a la comunidad iberoamericana sino también a la comunidad internacional, interesada en los temas más generales de teoría política y en los más especializados de justicia, tanto en el plano regional como en el plano global. Por tratarse de una revista que proviene de un grupo académico de un país latinoamericano, los temas que involucran a los países en desarrollo tanto de orden social como político, en especial los estímulos y los obstáculos para la consolidación de la democracia en ese ámbito, tendrán un interés muy marcado en la elección de los artículos. No obstante ello, en el mundo imperfectamente globalizado de hoy, las crisis, los profundos cambios políticos y sociales que tienen lugar en otras regiones del planeta no dejan de influir directamente en las situaciones y perspectivas futuras de todas las demás. La RLFP nace con un interés centrado en la actualidad de un mundo en curso de una profunda transformación política y con una visión cosmopolita de sus dificultades y de sus expectativas. La RLFP está dirigida a un público académico de filosofía política, filosofía del derecho y ética. Todos los artículos recibidos serán sometidos en versión anónima a una evaluación externa a doble ciego y deberán cumplir con rigurosos estándares de excelencia.
