Sobre la base del trabajo de la Red Latinoamericana de Estudios Sociales sobre las Emociones y los Cuerpos, la presente Revista busca constituirse como un espacio de pregunta por el estatuto teórico, metodológico, epistemológico y político de los estudios sobre el Cuerpo y las Emociones desde América Latina y el Sur Global. Situar el cuerpo/emoción como asunto político significa entenderlo como fundamento para el ejercicio del poder. Todo ejercicio que intente comprender de qué se habla al nombrar al cuerpo/emoción supone señalar las condiciones estructurales bajo las cuales este fenómeno puede existir y ser nominado. Esto significa una tarea de esclarecimiento del horizonte de sentido que hace posible su existencia y válido su estudio. Nuestro cuerpo oye, palpa, huele, gusta y ve lo que socialmente es construido como “mundo sentido”. En esta línea el objetivo principal de esta publicación es abrir un espacio de discusión en y desde Latinoamérica y el Sur Global sobre los estudios sociales de las emociones y los cuerpos.
