Káñina, Revista de Artes y Letras de la Universidad de Costa Rica, es una publicación cuatrimestral de carácter académico científico sobre la temática de la literatura costarricense, clásica e internacional y las artes en general. Su objetivo es publicar artículos inéditos y originales, científicos, de análisis teórico y metateórico sobre el área de las artes y las letras. Está dirigida a profesionales de las artes y las letras, académicos(as) e investigadores(as), así como estudiantes, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional. Desde el año 1977 cuenta con un intercambio por medio de canjes con universidades extranjeras, hasta su última publicación impresa en 2017. A partir de este año, Káñina se convierte en una revista electrónica exclusivamente, visible por medio de la red de internet y las diversas indexaciones con las que cuenta para obtener impacto y visibilidad.
