Aims, scope and focus
El objetivo de la Revista de Investigaciones Altoandinas - Journal of High Andean Research es difundir resultados y avances en investigación científica orientada a la interacción entre el ser humano y el medio ambiente en las regiones montañosas de los países andinos, desde las estribaciones hasta las cumbres. La revista publica preferentemente trabajos multi, inter y transdisciplinarios, dedicados a la promoción del desarrollo regional en el área andina en el marco del modelo de la triple hélice: sector académico, sector productivo o de servicios (sociedad civil) y sector público (organismos gubernamentales). Los artículos publicados deben responder a las dos preguntas centrales: ¿En qué sentido se relaciona la investigación con las zonas montañosas andinas definidas por Kapos et al., 2000? ¿Cómo toma en cuenta la investigación el contexto sociocultural y su relación con el entorno montañoso, promoviendo la diversidad biológica y cultural y contribuyendo a la gestión sostenible de los recursos bioculturales? Por ello, la revista privilegia los manuscritos que toman en cuenta la interconexión entre el contexto físico-natural y sociocultural andino.
