Breve Histórico Publicar textos inéditos de direito ou de abordagem interdisciplinar, que resultem de pesquisas empíricas e teóricas em diálogo com os campos de pesquisa em direito e desenvolvimento, direito e sociedade e direito e economia. Sua missão é difundir resultados de pesquisas que adotem uma perspectiva de reflexão sobre o direito "em contexto" e um conceito de desenvolvimento que vá além da ideia de crescimento econômico, incorporando a promoção de liberdades e direitos fundamentais, a consolidação da democracia, a superação do passado colonial e das desigualdades, e o combate às variadas formas de opressão, tais como de raça, gênero e orientação sexual. Acesso Aberto (Open Acess) Este periódico segue o modelo de Acesso Aberto (Open Acess), permitindo o acesso virtual, sem restrição (incluindo restrições financeiras), a todos os textos científicos publicados pelo periódico. Acesso aberto é a condição em que o detentor dos direitos autorais de um trabalho acadêmico (neste caso, autor/a) concede direitos de uso a terceiros sob licença aberta (Creative Commons Attribution, CC-BY), permitindo acesso gratuito imediato ao trabalho e autorizando qualquer usuário a ler, baixar, copiar, distribuir, imprimir, pesquisar ou vincular os textos completos dos artigos, rastreá-los para indexação, passá-los como dados para software ou usá-los para qualquer outra finalidade legal, desde que o trabalho original seja corretamente citado. Conformidade com a Ciência Aberta Em linha com as boas práticas de comunicação científica da ciência aberta, os autores deverão preencher o Formulário sobre Conformidade com a Ciência Aberta, em que os autores serão solicitados a informar: (a) se o manuscrito é um preprint e, em caso positivo, sua localização; (b) se dados, códigos de programas e outros materiais subjacentes ao texto do manuscrito estão devidamente citados e referenciados; e, (c) se aceitam opções de abertura no processo de avaliação por pares. A revista aceita e encoraja o depósito de manuscritos em servidores de preprint confiáveis, como o SciELO Preprints. Nesses casos, o Formulário sobre Conformidade com a Ciência Aberta deverá conter a localização virtual da versão do artigo já publicada (link de acesso) e o DOI, quando houver.
