La Revista del Nacional (Itauguá) (ISSN 2307-3640 versión en línea) es el órgano oficial de difusión científica del Centro Médico Nacional - Hospital Nacional, Itauguá-Paraguay dependiente del Ministerio de Salud Pública y Bienestar Social. El objetivo de esta revista es publicar con estándares de excelencia, la producción investigativa, científica e intelectual de trabajos originales e inéditos, de temas actuales (estudios que no superen los dos años antes de la publicación), generados por profesionales nacionales e internacionales en el área de la medicina clínica, investigación biomédica (aplicación de la biología y fisiología a la medicina), odontología, enfermería, nutrición, salud pública, microbiología, biología molecular, biotecnología en salud, y otras áreas relacionadas con la salud. Los manuscritos de medicinas tradicionales, complementarias e integrativas serán evaluados exhaustivamente por el consejo editorial para su aceptación, teniendo como criterios principales la relevancia y el interés de la comunidad. A partir del Volumen 17, año 2025, la Revista del Nacional (Itauguá) adopta una periodicidad anual en modalidad de publicación continua (PC), permitiendo la incorporación progresiva de nuevos contenidos a lo largo del año. No cobra tasas por evaluación ni publicación, es de acceso libre y sin costo.
