La iniciación científica es el intercambio de conocimientos y experiencias académicas y científicas entre estudiantes y tutores con amplia experiencia en investigación en sus áreas de conocimiento. Con esta experiencia los estudiantes comienzan a tener sus primeros contactos con la ciencia durante la realización de una investigación científica cuyos resultados serán divulgados preferentemente a través de un artículo original de alta calidad científica. Alcance La Revista de Iniciación Científica RIC es una revista abierta a la difusión, a los intercambios y a los debates de interés de la comunidad universitaria, esencialmente a nivel de pregrado con el objetivo de promover la creación, la expresión y la diseminación de trabajos novedosos y empíricos. En la RIC se publican, prioritariamente trabajos originales desarrollados por estudiantes de pregrado, en español, portugués o en inglés, incluyendo resultados de trabajos de términos de grado y otros trabajos de investigación desarrollados en pregrado. Objetivo El objetivo de la revista es brindar un espacio para la publicación de artículos originales (proyectos presentados en la Jornada de Iniciación Científica, trabajos de termino de grado y artículos de revisión bibliográfica realizados dentro del salón de clase) de alta calidad científica desarrollados por autores que estén en el proceso de iniciación científica. Misión Brindar un espacio para la publicación y comunicación de resultados de investigaciones desarrolladas por autores a través de un proceso de iniciación científica por medio de artículos originales de alta calidad científica revisado por pares. Visión Ser una revista científica de iniciación científica de referencia a nivel nacional e internacional en la publicación de artículos originales de alta calidad científica. Público objetivo El público objetivo de la RIC son estudiantes de pregrado como potenciales autor es y sus tutores. Cobertura Temática Ciencias Exactas e Ingenierías. Ingeniería civil y afines.
