Desde 2002 se propuso la edición de la Revista de I+D Tecnológico (P-ISSN 1680-8894 & E-ISSN 2219-6714), con el propósito de promover la labor de investigación en el ámbito nacional e internacional. En el año 2017, con el Volumen 13, no. 2, se inicia su publicación en formato digital (PDF y HTML). La Revista de I+D Tecnológico (RIDTEC) es una revista de Acceso Abierto (OA) evaluada por pares (doble ciego) con publicación semestral de la Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá (UTP), especializada en las áreas de las ciencias básicas e ingeniería y otras áreas del conocimiento. A partir del 2018 las publicaciones de las revistas I+D Tecnológico se les asignará un DOI (Digital Object Identifier). La Revista I+D Tecnológico se encuentra indexada y catalogada en: Sistema de Información de revistas de investigación científica, técnico-profesionales y de divulgación científica y cultural editadas en países de América Latina, el Caribe, España y Portugal (LATINDEX), The European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS), Google Scholar, Directory of Open Access scholarly Resources (ROAD), Bielefeld Academic Search Engine (BASE), MIAR, Open Academic Journal Index (OAJI), Registration Agency of the International DOI Fundation (Crossref), Connecting Repositories (CORE), Mendeley, OpenAIRE, Directory of Research Journal Indexing (DRJI), Red Iberoamericana de Innovación y Conocimiento Científico (REDIB), Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos para la educación, la ciencia y la cultura (OEI), UTP-Ridda2, el Repositorio Centroamericano SIIDCA y el Índice de Revistas Científicas de Panamá (PANINDEX), por lo tanto, los artículos son sometidos a un proceso de evaluación por pares (doble ciego) antes de ser seleccionados.
