A Revista de História das Ideias, criada no mbito do Instituto de História e Teoria das Ideias da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra, foi fundada, em 1977, por José Sebastião da Silva Dias e dirigida também por Manuel Augusto Rodrigues, Luís Reis Torgal e Fernando Catroga.A revista, de periodicidade anual, inicia em 2016 uma nova série (2ª série), depois de 33 números publicados, na sua maioria temáticos. Todos os artigos submetidos são sujeitos a revisão e aprovação por pares, em regime de anonimato. O processo de avaliação encontra-se documentado nos arquivos da Revista de História das Ideias. Os contributos são encaminhados pelos Editores da revista para o Conselho Científico ou para avaliadores ad hoc, de acordo com as suas áreas de especialização. Os principais critérios de avaliação são: adequação à linha editorial da revista; respeito pelas normas editoriais; qualidade da redação; originalidade e relevo dos temas propostos para o avanço dos estudos nas áreas de estudo admitida pela revista.Admite artigos para publicação em língua portuguesa, inglesa, francesa, espanhola e italiana. Processo de Revisão por Pares Todos os artigos aceites pelo Conselho de Redacção serão submetidos a um sistema de arbitragem científica anónima, confiada a dois revisores externos. Em caso de necessidade, será auscultado um terceiro revisor. Em face dos pareceres recebidos o Conselho de Redacção pode determinar que os autores adoptem as sugestões deles constantes e, no limite, pode declinar a aceitação do texto. Política de Acesso Livre Esta revista oferece acesso livre imediato ao seu conteúdo, seguindo o princípio de que disponibilizar gratuitamente o conhecimento científico ao público proporciona maior democratização do conhecimento. Arquivamento Esta revista utiliza o sistema LOCKSS para criar um sistema de arquivo distribuído entre as bibliotecas participantes e permite à s mesmas criar arquivos permanentes da revista para a preservação e restauração.
