La Revista EPE se dedica a la difusión de trabajos e investigaciones multidisciplinarias e interdisciplinarias de autores(as) nacionales e internacionales, especialmente hispanohablantes y angloparlantes y se encuentra en proceso a un tercer idioma portugués. Su enfoque está en las Ciencias Sociales, con el propósito de contribuir al análisis, renovación, investigación y desarrollo de enfoques teóricos y empíricos que puedan influir en la política pública y la administración del Estado. La Revista publica trabajos e investigaciones que buscan enriquecer los distintos enfoques disciplinarios en relación con fenómenos y problemáticas asociadas con la gobernanza, el Estado, el territorio, la sociedad, la economía, la educación, la planificación estratégica y prospectiva, entre otras áreas del quehacer público.
